The local villagers were so thankful for the well and for us coming to visit that they selected a goat to slaughter and prepare a celebratory meal for our Wells 4 Wellness team. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay for an all-day celebration because we were headed to four more sites. The villagers were so insistent on showing their gratitude that they handed us the goat on a leash and it became our traveling mascot. We named him "Billy".
After a full day of travel, we returned to the City of Maradi and stayed with Koyejo & Lola Amori at their first home for children Abraham's Place, Maradi. CLICK HERE to learn more about the Amori's second Abraham's Place.
