In 2018, Boundou Douba was the first rural village North of the Maradi area to receive a well. In fact, they received an amazing "Full Package Well" with a Chalet tower, CLICK HERE to learn more about well types. As you can see in the 2019 photograph above, there is also a fenced garden with a dedicated storage tank.
The neighboring village of Boundou Bakki (not seen in photo) was given a storage tank and the villagers dug a one mile trench to the Chalet tower in Boundou Duba in order bury a pipe that carries water to fill their storage tank. So much blessing and development came from this storage tank that the village of Boundou Bakki grew beyond what the well of Boundu Douba could supply. Therefore, in 2022 Boundu Bakki received their own well and now water is never issue!
The women of Boundou Douba are so very thankful and they can be seen in our documentary at 13 minutes and 18 seconds expressing their gratitude. The translator in the clip is named Koyejo Amori and he is an amazing part of Wells 4 Wellness and is our Niger Operations Director in the Maradi area.
Koyejo & his wife Lola have a huge heart for the children of Niger, so they founded a children's home called Abraham's Place in the city of Maradi. Also, they have recently opened a second Abraham's Place in Boundou Douba.

In 2023, Koyejo filmed the video below in order to give an update on the progress of Boundou Douba. Notice how much the fenced garden has grown.
The people of Boundou Douba are forever grateful, and so is the Wells 4 Wellness team. THANK YOU!
